Rhubarb Crown - Crimson Red

$14.99

Plump solid crimson red stalks set this rhubarb apart for being one of the most flavorful on the market today. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Do not harvest rhubarb the year you plant your crowns. Make sure to remove any seed stalks that appear throughout the life of the plant, as they reduce the vigor of the plant. A light harvest may be taken the second year and by the third season all stalks that are 1 inch in diameter or larger may be harvested over a period of 6-8 weeks. Rhubarb cannot compete with weeds or grass, so plant it in a well-tended bed.
