The English Thoroughbred mare is an elegant appearance: she has a black-brown coat and her thick mane and long tail shine in black. She is slender and agile, yet muscular and strong. Only the delicate hooves are set off in grey. The coat over the hoof on the left hind leg is slightly white. It looks like a sock. She outruns everyone in a race. Right now, however, she is taking it easy. She strides leisurely across the pasture to keep the handsome English thoroughbred stallion company.
