Compost tea is a liquid extract of compost that contains plant nutrients and beneficial microorganisms. Sustane Compost Tea Bags can be applied as a brewed liquid using watering cans or applied directly to the root zone as a root zone feeder pack.
DIRECTIONS
To brew tea, place one teabag into a one-gallon watering can and let it steep approximately 12 to 24 hours.* As the tea brews, the beneficial microbes in the compost will activate and multiply in the water. Apply the tea to potted and in-ground plants just as you would water them normally. Use on indoor and outdoor potted plants, hanging baskets, new seedlings, raised beds, and garden beds. NOTE: Prior to consumption, wash produce after compost tea application.
1 (21 gram) tea bag covers 10 sq. ft. Use brewed tea within 24 hours. Reapply fresh tea weekly.
*For added benefit, add oxygen to your tea with an air pump during the brewing process to increase microbial activity.
